DIESEL WHISHKY ROW SHERRY CASK ROBUSTO 5X52

Sherry Cask is a follow-up to last year’s Diesel Whiskey Row. As the name implies, this cigar incorporates barrels that previously held sherry cask, more specifically barrels that were previously used for Pedro Ximénez 30-Year-Old Sherry. Those barrels were then used by Rabbit Hole Distilling, the Louisville-based distillery General Cigar Co. partnered with for the original Whiskey Row, which placed its bourbon along with a wheat mash bill in the barrels to create Rabbit Hole’s PX Sherry Finish.

The barrels were then sent to Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí, where a Brazilian arapiraca leaf was aged in the barrels. That tobacco is used as the binder, underneath a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper and on top of Nicaraguan habano fillers.
